Let Me Introduce Myself

Hello Body Challengers!

It’s been quite some time since I signed up with Body Challenge, but life has truly kept me busy. Finally, though, I’m able to stop in and make a quick introduction.

This is Teli Adlam from the Teli Design Studio. I can usually be found hanging around the TIID, SSWT, and various other forums (which is probably the reason I need to participate in the Body Challenge).

Once upon a time, I tried the diet thing, but it never really took off (though I did drop a dress size since I began). Life kidnapped me. That’s the only excuse I can come up with. But, this time around, I truly am determined to get back down to my desired weight.

Over the course of the previous two years, I’ve put on about 20 pounds and it’s high time they come off.

My plan for this body challenge is to use the Turbo Jam method along with proper diet. (Gosh, it sounds a lot more difficult when I say it out loud!) The choice was made when I realized it would be an easy transition for me because most of the moves consist of dance techniques and some martial arts, two things I’ve enjoyed doing for nearly two years.

I want to thank everyone who visits and sends in their well-wishes because it helps. The motivation, the support, the good will, it all helps…a lot.

Here’s to a successful body challenge!

Have you started the Turbo Jam workouts? What I saw on the website video reminds me of the cardio kickboxing class that I was taking for awhile. Those workouts sure are high energy and are bound to burn lots of calories!

    Sandra,
I didn’t even realize you left a comment to this entry. Sorry it’s taken so long to respond.

Yes, I’ve started the work outs and I actually love it. I used to dance and take Tae Kwon Do, so a lot of the techniques and moves are already familiar to me. The music is nice (no muzak or muskrat love) and it is high energy.

I also have two work out machines. One is for pilates and the other is a gazelle, so I use both of those in addition to the Turbo Jam work outs. I’m also looking into taking Kung Fu since there is a dojo close to me.

    (I need to write a blog entry…)

Here’s to burning tons of calories :D
