Week 4 Report - Stalled

Starting Weight: 149
Goal: 125
Week 4: 144 - lost 0 :(
Total Lost: 5 pounds

Last week I really hit the workouts hard on six days.  I did more of a variety of exercises including 3 weight training sessions as was recommended.

Even with that I still did not lose one pound last week.  Well I did not gain any so that is good!  Looking back at my food diary I think my diet was too heavy on carbs - sandwiches, dinner rolls, etc.  So this week I’ll reduce the “bad carbs” and see how that helps.

I’m curious - are you drinking a lot of water, too? I mean, more than you usually would?

I ask because I was working out daily last Fall and losing *nothing* and I was told to make sure to drink a lot of water. I started drinking almost a gallon a day (still working out) and lost 3 lbs in 3 days right off the bat…

Not sure if it was the water, or the workout finally showing up on the scales, but was interested to know if you were increasing your water intake?

I drink at least 16 oz during my workouts. But I’ve gotten into the habit of diet cokes during the day which do not count for water intake and may even have a negative effect.

I have heard of other people having great results by increasing water, too. That is definitely something I’ll start doing right away. Thanks for the suggestion!

coke, diet or not.. Avoid it…. It’s too much carbonated, even if there is 1 calorie in 500 ml.. it’ll slow down your metabolism… Get green tea.. or just normal tea would do better than diett coke.

This is my newsletter for subscribers.. but I am putting it here.. It you just do first 3 steps(0,1,2). It’ll detoxify you on daily basis.. plus you’ll meet your daily water requirments.

Y’know, with all you’ve been doing, you may have reached a setpoint.

That’s when your body slams on the brakes and resiste weight loss as a sort of self-defense mechanism. Maintaining the status quo…

Your muscle mass may have increased, which weighs more than fat.

Or you might have had one too many burritos!

Those are all good points Dan. I just wish I knew how to “convince” my body to stop resisting. LOL
